Obituary

Mary Sue Farrar, who resided near Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Heart of Hospice Inpatient Unit at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on October 27, 1942, in Fort Smith to the late James Harold Hays and Lyda Grace (English) Hays. She was 81 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loyd Taylor Farrar; two sons, Dudley Sparkman and Steve Sparkman; a brother, Jimmy Hays; and a sister, Janet Barnett.

Mary was a retired nurse and attended Swon Road Baptist Church in Liberty, Oklahoma.

Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 14th at Swon Road Baptist Church in Liberty, with Pastor Larry Ellis officiating.

She is survived by her three daughters, Patty Langley, Gail Johnson and Tammy Taylor, all of Lavaca; one sister, Peggy Rowland of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Cremation and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
