Obituary

Mark Rue Wheeler, who resided in Branch, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011 in Vian, Oklahoma. He was born December 17, 1926 in London, Arkansas to the late William Wheeler and Minnie Belle (Witt) Wheeler. He was 84 years old.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Stella Marie (McMurtry) Wheeler, one daughter, Linda Wheeler; two sons, Gary and Billy Wheeler; one great grandson, Isaiah Scoggins.

Mark was a retired self-employed mechanic and used car salesman, was a Navy veteran of WWII, and of the Assembly of God faith.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 6th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Rev. Reggie Kelley officiating. Burial will be at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

He is survived by five daughters, Bonnie Scoggins of Vian, Oklahoma, Cammie Cummings of Branch, Stacie Sindle of Van Buren, Treva Coffel of Cecil, Alabama, and Cassie Miranda of Branch; four sons, Denny Wheeler of Wichita, Kansas, Shannon Wheeler and Travis Wheeler, both of Branch; Mike Wheeler of Russellville; three sisters, Agnes Spiller of Wagoner, Oklahoma, his twin sister, Martha Foster of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Naida Smith of Russellville; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home in Charleston.
