Marilyn Jane (Belt) Evans, 73, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, November 13, 2023. She was born on December 5, 1949, in French County, California. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Onis D. Belt and Mildred (Earp) Belt.

Marilyn was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.

She is survived by her two sons, Tommy L. Evans Jr. and wife Robin of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and David E. Evans and wife Katrina of Van Buren; a daughter, Sabrina D. Adams and husband John of Charleston; a brother, James E. Belt of Sperry, Oklahoma; and a sister, Norma J. Gleason of Vinita, Oklahoma. Marilyn leaves behind a legacy of seven adored grandchildren.

Marilyn, known for her love of Elvis Presley, carousels, and her seven cherished grandchildren, will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She had a vibrant personality and a passion for life. In her professional life, Marilyn worked as a florist, bringing joy to others through her beautiful arrangements. She was admired for her creativity and attention to detail. In her free time, Marilyn enjoyed her hobbies of bowling, where she won numerous local and national awards. She also enjoyed playing bingo, a hobby that brought her much excitement and fun.

There will be no services held. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice, as Marilyn had a heart for helping others.
