Marilyn Joyce Harshbarger Dennis, age 89, from Humboldt and Sullivan, Illinois, passed away as peacefully as she lived on the 17th of April 2025.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her loved ones for whom she had great affection:  Robert Lee Dennis,  2019; Brenda Sue Dennis, 2013; Eloise Harshbarger Powers 2024; Nancy Harshbarger 2024.  Parents: Dallas B. Harshbarger, 1949 and Alethe Emery Harshbarger Davis, 1997 and her stepfather Stanley R. Davis, 1967.

Marilyn is survived by Douglas and Kayo Dennis, Theresa and Lisha Dennis, and her grandchildren, Cameron Lee and Nikki Napolitano, Amanda Elise Dennis and Samantha Nicole Dennis.  She leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Marilyn retired in 1998 form Florists, Mutal Insurance Company.  Marilyn was a member of the Eastern Star in support of her husband a 32nd Mason.  She enjoyed attending church at Eden United Church of Christ and The First Presbyterian. In her quiet times you could find her reading, knitting, ironing, organizing, planting, planning, or fishing.

‍Marilyn will be interred with her husband of seventy years at the Fort Smith National Cemetery located in Sebastian County, Arkansas. The time and date to be determined.  Donations may be made to honor her life to Cure Alzheimer's Fund  Cure Alzheimer's Fund.
