Margaret Corene (Whitman) Dicks, who resided near Caulksville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born August 28, 1922 in Roseville, Arkansas to the late Dan Webb and Novie (Pettigrew) Webb. She was 90 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Hoyt R. Whitman and A.B. Dicks; one son, Ross W. Whitman; one sister, Betty Blades and two brothers, Russell Webb and Troy Webb.

Corene was a homemaker and was a member of Shaver Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Caulksville.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 14th at Caulksville Cemetery in Caulksville, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Vondal Davenport.

She is survived by one son, Ashley Whitman and wife Johnnie of Charleston; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Whitman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Kristy Whitman and Clint Whitman, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma, John Whitman of Charleston and Jana McCain and husband Sam of Van Buren; four great-grandchildren, Grant Needham, Garrett, Maddie, and Payton McCain of Van Buren; several nieces and nephews.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home in Charleston.
