Margaret Jean McKinley, better known as Jeanie McKinley of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born on September 22, 1942, in Pratt, Kansas, to the late James Adam Long and Margaret (Schneider) Long. She was 81 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Travis McKinley; a brother, Raymond Long; and a sister, Marla Diemes.

For several years, Jeanie was a computer programmer for Walmart, Inc.

She is survived by her husband of almost 62 years, Keith Allen "Mac" McKinley; three sons, Tracy Allen McKinley, Trent Allen McKinley and wife Christy, all of Fort Smith, and Trevor Allen McKinley of Louisiana; a brother, Terry Lynn Long and wife Judy; a sister, Saundra Sue Briet; (10) grandchildren; and (13) great-grandchildren.
