Darlene Louise Spears of Mountainburg, Arkansas, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, in Heart of Hospice Inpatient Unit at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on February 28, 1954, in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, to the late Albert Paschel and Faye Ann (Luton) Paschel. She was 70 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Alvin William Spears.

Louise was a retired custodian and member of Locke Freewill Baptist Church in Mountainburg.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28th followed by a funeral service starting at 2:00 p.m. at Locke Freewill Baptist Church in Mountainburg, with Pastor Bobby Reinschmidt officiating. Burial will follow at Locke Cemetery, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by three sons, Kevin Spears and wife Nicole of Loganville, Georgia, Heath Spears and wife Melanie of Alma, and Matthew Spears of Mountainburg; two brothers, John Paschel of Texas and Allen Paschel of Missouri; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Tyler Spears, Brandon Spears, Adam Spears, Eric Spears, William Brewer, and Rickey Bowles.

Honorary pallbearers are Bentley Spears and Caden Spears.
