Anna Louise Noel of Charleston, Arkansas, died Sunday, July 2, 2023, at her home. She was born on July 18, 1934, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to the late Avery Eugene Hartley and Ida Leaon (Jackson) Hartley. She was almost 89 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Louise was a retired editor for the Charleston Express. She was an avid fisherman and an avid musician. Louise loved playing music and was a member of the group "Good Time Girls and Company."  She loved her family and her community very much and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 7th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Bill VanMeter officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Billy C. Noel; a daughter, Carolyn Moffet and husband Marvin of Caulksville; a son, Billy H. Noel and wife Alana of Branch; a sister, Charlotte Loyd of Booneville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Hartley of Fort Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are BJ Noel, Josh Noel, Cody Carlile, Chris Carlile. Mikel Neal, and Chuck Parsons.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
