Loretta Girard, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 in Charleston. She was born April 13, 1922 in Chismville, Arkansas to the late Earlie C. Whitman and Belva E. (Barnard) Whitman. She was 91 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Girard; one sister, Retha Baggett; and one brother, Loyal Whitman.

Loretta was a housewife and a member of Shaver Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Paris.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 18th, at Caulksville Cemetery in Caulksville, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

Officiating the service will be Rev. Vondal Davenport.

She is survived by one nephew, Billy Whitman and wife Loretta of Fort Smith, and one great-niece, Valerie Whitman of Fayetteville.
