Lorene Boland, who resided near Scranton, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Johnson Regional Medical Center in Clarksville, Arkansas. She was born on November 9, 1937, in Scranton to the late James Voyle Roper and Velma Mattie (Moore) Roper. She was 87 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Lee Piccirilli; and a brother, Rick Roper.

Lorene was a 1955 graduate of Scranton High School, and for many years, was an assistant bank manager at Worthen National Bank in Little Rock. Lorene was a proud military wife, enjoyed canning, making jelly, sewing, gardening, flowers, pulling weeds, and was previously a member of Johnson Freewill Baptist Church and currently a member of Dublin Freewill Baptist Church. She loved her family very much and will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 17th at Dublin Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Shane Kasper and Bro. Jimmy Williams. Burial will follow at Ware Chapel Cemetery in Dublin, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by her husband of over 32 years, Jeff Boland; her children, Susan Blackstock and husband Michael and Joseph Piccirilli and companion Pamela, all of Little Rock' her step-children, Jennifer Dobie of Hutchinson, Minnesota, and Brent Boland and wife Kelly of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota; a sister, Doris Gray of Haverhill, Massachusetts; two brothers, Jerry Roper and wife Mary of Clarksville and Gary Roper of Mountainburg; (14) grandchildren; and (14) great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Bradley Blackstock, Colby Blackstock, Dustin Blackstock, Nathan Piccirilli, Kody Piccirilli, and Jamie Roper.

Honorary pallbearers are Samantha Weber, Alton Roper, Greg Roper, and Bo Fleming.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday starting at 10:00 a.m. and funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
