Obituary

Lois Dale Boyd, age 94, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. She was born January 25, 1918 in the Ellsworth Community in Logan County, Arkansas to the late Tapley Sharpe and Nannie (Lasater) Sharpe.

She was also preceded in death by her husband's, John Henry Schoen and Bill G. Boyd.

Lois retired from Trane, Inc. in Fort Smith. She was an avid gardener, cook, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Delaware.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10th at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

Officiating the service will be the Rev. Wylie Jones.

She is survived by two daughters, Jonnita Terbieten and husband Bernard of Fort Smith and Mary Florence Rybak and husband James of Kimball, South Dakota; one son, Robert Schoen and wife Paula of Central City; two brothers, Bill Sharpe and Harold Dean Sharpe, both of Texas; (10) grandchildren, (11) great-grandchildren and (2) great-great grandchidren.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Public viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 9th at the funeral home in Charleston.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greenhurst Nursing Home in Charleston.
