Obituary
Lionel Wayne Pennington, who resided in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 in Fort Worth. He was born November 28, 1935 in Ada, Oklahoma to the late Claud Pennington and Fronie A. (Farmer) Pennington. He was 79 years old. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Laura Pennington Gardner; one son, Brian Pennington; and three brothers.
Lionel was a retired aircraft mechanic for American Airlines. He served in the Army National Guards, and was of the Baptist faith.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 6th, at First Baptist Church in Lavaca, with the Rev. Joe Donahue officiating. Burial of cremains will be at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carolyn (Johnson) Pennington; one son, Mark Pennington of Florida; one sister, Yvonne Roddy of Ada, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Jesse Pennington of Florida, Kyle Gardner and Jenna Gardner, both of League City, Texas.
