Obituary

Lindsey Carl Rudd, Jr., who resided near Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at his home. He was born on July 18, 1941, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to the late Lindsay Carl Rudd, Sr. and Eva (Robinson) Rudd. He was 83 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Robbie Graham and Wanda Bridges; and four brothers, Tommy Rudd, Billy L. Rudd, James Jones, and Olen Jones.

Lindsay was owner and operator of Rudd Plumbing in Lavaca. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He was a Mason, member of Plumbers Union, and member of Lavaca First Baptist Church. He loved his family very much and will be missed by all who knew him.

A private family graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 28th at Nixon Cemetery in Charleston. A "Celebration of Life" will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Lavaca, officiated by Bro. Stu Smithson. All services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sheri (Denton) Rudd; a daughter, Jody Rudd of Van Buren; two sons, Carl Rudd of Van Buren and Ricky Rudd and wife Brandie of Charleston; six grandchildren, Rachel Tanguay and husband Triston, Jadon Bliss, Garrett Rudd, Mason Rudd, Drake Rudd, and Remington Rudd; and one great-grandson, Jakkston Tanguay.

Pallbearers are Jay Pair, Trey Vaughn Richardson, Garrett Rudd, Mason Rudd, Jadon Bliss, and Tristen Tanguay.

Honorary pallbearers are Remington Rudd and Drake Rudd.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
