Obituary

Lindell Edward Parsons, who resided in Subiaco, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. He was born October 13, 1933, in the St. Louis Valley Community in Logan County, to the late Robert J. and Harrettie M. (Moore) Parsons. He was 87 years old. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Raymond Parsons and Delmas Parsons.

Lindell retired from the Paris Public School System. He was head bus mechanic for many years and in maintenance. He was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, served many years on the Logan County Fair Board, Justice of the Peace, Midway Fire Department, Arkansas Cattlemen's Association, and a faithful member of Midway Assembly of God Church.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 3rd at Midway Assembly of God Church, with Bro. C.L. Haston and Bro. Rick Nye officiating. Burial will follow, with military honors, at Horne Cemetery in Midway, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy (Neihouse) Parsons; his son, Mike Parsons and wife Lisa of Subiaco; his sister, Linda Mae Mason of Ozark; two grandsons, Nathan Parsons and wife Cyndi of Subiaco and Josh Parsons and wife Whitney of Paris; four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Amberly, Beau, and Kash; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Chuck Parsons, Gary Wood, Nathan Parsons, Josh Parsons, James Parsons, and Gary L. Horne.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Due to the rise in COVID cases in the area and with due respect to Patsy and  Greenhurst Nursing Home Staff, mask will be required to ALL who enter the funeral home on Thursday and at Midway Assembly of God Church on Friday. Thank you very much for your cooperation and understanding at this time.
