Linda Joyce Maledon

Linda Joyce Maledon of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Valley Springs Rehabilitation and Health Center in Van Buren, Arkansas. She was born on February 16, 1959, in Fort Smith to the late Ernest Joseph Maledon and Joyce Rae (Shockley) Maledon. She was 67 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Billy Maledon and Wesley Maledon.

Years ago, Linda worked at Whirlpool, Inc. and Planters Peanuts in Fort Smith. She also worked at convenience stores in the Fort Smith area and she was of the Baptist faith. She was loved by her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by a brother, Ernest Maledon and wife Sherry of Kermit, Texas; three nieces, Mandy, Melissa, and Melanie; and a nephew, Michael.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
