Obituary

Linda Gail Lindsey, 77, of Paris, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at her home. She was born on January 11, 1948, in Purdy, Missouri, to the late Adam Strick and Susan (Malloy) Strick. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Ray Lindsey; a brother, Robert Gates; and her sisters, Teresa, Donna, and Lois.

Linda was a housekeeper at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith for 34 years, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will by held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris. Burial of cremains will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith at a later date.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Freeman of Paris; two brothers, Frank Strick of Muldrow and Lee Gates of Missouri; a grandson, Stephen Berglund and wife Kati; two great-grandchildren, Adrian Berglund and Daniel Berglund; four step-great-grandchildren, Amelia, Abby, Anna, and Aliana Thompson; and Trena Lomon, who was like a daughter.

Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Homes in Paris.
