Obituary

Lillian Haney, age 92, of Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2006, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

She was born June 28, 1914, in Branch, Arkansas to the late Levi Alexander Bennett and Katherine Angeline (Ritchie) Bennett. A very devout Born Again Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, she went to Heaven Saturday night, Dec. 30, 2006. She will be missed greatly by all of us. She left a great legacy, which we can all live by forever. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Charleston. Preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Haney, and they were together for more than 60 years. Officiating the funeral service will be Brother Roger Haney, Brother Elton Pennington and Brother Greg Qualls.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Coles Chapel Cemetery, located south of Branch, Arkansas, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by five daughters, Johnnie Beason and JoAnn Hettinga, both of Russellville, Maxine Skeets of Charleston, Shirley Brotherton of Branch and Sharon Casalman of Fort Smith; two sons, Bill Haney of Caulksville and Roger Haney of Stilwell, Okla.; a sister, Maude Chitty of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Danny and Tim Beason, Randall Hettinga, Terry Casalman and Mike, Jody, Jason and Seth Haney.
