Rose Lestene Perceful, who resided in Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at her home. She was born on December 28, 1954, in Pomona, California, to Cecil Wayne Edwards and Rose LaVerne (Higgins) Edwards. She was 67 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Wayne Edwards.

Lestene was a secretary for over 35 years at the Planning Department for the City of Fort Smith and a 1972 graduate of Northside High School in Fort Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dennis Lee Perceful; her daughter, Sonya Elliott and husband Cody of Fort Smith; her mother, Rose Gallagher of Mulberry; her sister, Cecilia Stringer of Mulberry; and her granddaughter, Caitlin Elliott.
