Obituary

Leona Mae Williams, a life long resident of Paris, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born August 15, 1922 in Fort Sumner, New Mexico to the late Marvin London White and Essie Mae (Millspaugh) White. She was 88 years old.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lorene Harrison and Eva White.

Leona was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paris, where she taught the 5 year old Sunday School Class for 20 plus years and was active in multi-church organizations.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12th, at the First Baptist Church in Paris. Interment will be at Elizabeth Hall Cemetery in New Blaine, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by her husband, Garland "Red" Williams, of the home; two daughters, Connie Townley & husband Rod of Fort Smith and Velta Schluterman & husband Steve of Fort Smith; two sons, Ronnie Williams of Paris and Michael Williams & wife Sheila of Denver, Colorado; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a nephew, Ed Williams of Paris and several other loved nieces & nephews.

Pallbearers will be her grandson's, Justin, Ryan, Casey, & Jeff Williams, Blake Schluterman, and David Townley.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
