Leonidas "Leon" Eldon Mains, Jr. resided in Charleston, Arkansas, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born November 14, 1933 in Orlando, Florida to the late Leonidas Eldon Mains, Sr. and Martha Leah (Heinz) Mains. He was 76 years old.
Leon was a retired self-employed remodeling & repairing contractor. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, member of Alcoholics Anonymous Group and was of the Presbyterian faith.
The body was cremated under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston, Arkansas.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 24th at the Grace Community Church @ 2018 Bartlett Road, Memphis, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Mains, of the home; two daughters, Margie Harris and Martha Fortune, both of Cordova, TN; three sons, Kenneth Mains of Olive Branch, MS, Leon Mains, III and Charles Mains, both of Memphis, TN; one step-daughter, Cheryl Gibson of Paris, TN; one step-son, Neal Lindsey of Eudora, MS; one sister, Leah Howell of Florida; (14) grandchildren and (4) great grandchildren.
