Leola Fay Williams, 79, of Lavaca died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, in Charleston. She was born April 16, 1927, in Franklin County to Luther Samuel Mantooth and Ethel Fay Bumpers Mantooth. She was a homemaker, a member of Lavaca Senior Citizens Center, loved visiting and spending lots of time helping at Greenhurst Nursing Home in Charleston and was a member of Highway 96 First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Clyde Williams.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston with burial at Tate Cemetery, northwest of Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home of Charleston. Officiating the funeral service will be Bro. Howard Webb.
She is survived a daughter, Judy Morris of Barling; three sons, Larry Williams and wife Gay of Louisville, Ky., Sam Williams and wife Cheryl of Charleston and Danny Williams of Lavaca; a brother, Raymond Mantooth and wife Reba of Charleston; four grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Harley and Harold Jones, Rick Day, Sonny Sutherland, Mike Arredondo and Charlie Weaver.
