Lena Mae James, who resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born January 3, 1932, in the St. Louis Valley Community in Logan County, to the late Earl Allen Crowell and Ida Irene Moore Crowell. She was 89 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Fletcher William James; a grandson, Frank James; two daughter-in-laws, Pamela James and Kimberly James, and eight brothers and sisters.

Lena retired from Tyson Foods, Inc. in Clarksville and was a member of First Assembly of God in Paris.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 3rd, at First Assembly of God in Paris, with Pastor Kenny Maness, Pastor Ed Skyles, and Pastor Quinton Rowan officiating. Burial will follow at Baxley Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by two sons, Vic James of Paris and Dewayne James and Pamela of Barling; four daughters, Kathy Kroger and husband John of Ukiah, California, Eileen Underwood of Nice, California, Angelia Fink and husband Johnny of Idalou, Texas, and Linda Ritter and husband Terry of Fort Smith; four sisters, Jean Rowan of Paris, Christine Ford of Alma, Wilma Broch of Van Buren, and Carolyn Verdot of Ukiah, California; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Aaron Hurst, Randy Sharp, Robert Patterson, Tim Pettigrew, Matt Harris, and Rick Varnell.

Honorary pallbearers are Bryan Patterson and Isaac Rowan.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
