Leland Faye "Fat" Boyles, who resided near Paris, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Paris. He was born February 10, 1929 in Center Point, Iowa to the late Everett Newton Boyles and Ava (Fischel) Boyles. He was 86 years old. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Diane Packingham; and two brothers, Lynn Boyles and Everett Lee Boyles.
Leland was a retired mechanic for A-1 Rental in Russellville, Arkansas. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors, gardening, and picking berries. He was of the Methodist faith.
A private family memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 5th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with the Rev. Eldon Thomas officiating. Burial of cremains will be at Lafayette Cemetery in Lafayette, Iowa at a later date. Cremation services and arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elsie (Heathman) Boyles; two daughters, LeAnn Kramer and husband Joe of Center Point, Iowa and Anita Ellington and husband Rick of Paris; one son, Allen Boyles and wife Bonnie of New Blaine; two brothers, Ivan Boyles and wife Fern of Hazelton, Iowa and Richard Boyles and wife Shirley of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; (9) grandchildren and (22) great-grandchildren.
