IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lee O.
Singleton
November 14, 1939 – July 29, 2021
Lee O. Singleton, who resided in Boles, Arkansas, died Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Christus Dubuis Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born November 14, 1939, in the Blakely Community in Garland County, Arkansas, to the late Claude Singleton and Mattie Blackwell Singleton. He was 81 years old. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Herman, Herbert and Earl, and one sister, Rilday.
Lee was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 47 years. He was a retired supervisor for Tyson Foods, Inc. in Waldron. We are grieving the loss of an outstanding man. He always had a pot of coffee ready. Lee enjoyed conversations over a cup of coffee. Lee had a green thumb. Many of us have brought him plants that weren't looking so good and he'd take care of it and get it healthy again. Lee could fix anything...car is broke down, he was on it. Electrical issues in your house, no problem. He was a gifted artist. This was reflected in his paintings and in anything he built. Lee had an incredible vocabulary. Anyone that knew him knows that Webster had nothing on him. His granddaughter wrote, He learned me just about everything I know. Lee loved his wife and family. He and Betty were together for 63 years. Still cuddled like newly weds. Lee loved to pester and make jokes. There are bits and pieces of him in all that loved him. He will be missed by numerous family members, friends, spiritual brothers and sisters.
Leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 62 years, Betty Mason Singleton; his children, Richard Singleton and wife Terria, Joanna Singleton, Jeanette Ward and husband Brent, Lisa Singleton, and Peggy Tinsley and husband Bruce; a brother, Vernal Singleton and wife Alice; eight grandchildren, Darcy Neal and husband William, Brandy Williams and husband Drake, April Turner and husband Devon, Bruce Tinsley II and wife Diana, Chelsey Slater and husband Seth, Charles Singleton and wife Tyrisha, Kelley Mortimore and husband Trevor, and Shelby Singleton; seven great-grandchildren.
