Lawrence Bernard Hoen, Jr. of Paris, Arkansas, died Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Paris. He was born on October 5, 1968, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Lawrence Bernard Hoen, Sr. and Alta Arlene (Kreutzer) Hoen. He was 55 years old. He was preceded in death by his father.

For several years, Lawrence was a plumber. He played Santa Claus for the last 4 years for the City of Paris. He served in the U.S. Army, and was an elder and member of Paris Church of Christ. Lawrence had many friends and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 21st at Paint Rock Cemetery, located south of Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris. Officiating the service will be Mr. Kevin Heavin.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Katie (Hutchins) Hoen; a daughter, Ashley Hoen Eubanks of Russellville; a son, Christiaan Hoen of Paris; his mother, Alta Hoen of Nashville, Arkansas; his step-mother, Patricia Hoen of Mountainburg; two sisters, Mary Hoen of Arizona, and Patty Carmack and husband Keith of Oden, Arkansas; and a brother, Joe Hoen and wife Lulu of Nashville, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Paul Hutchins, Johnny Hutchins, Ray Jones, Shane Benton, Dr. Jim Shearer, and Larry Bean.

The family will visit with friends starting at 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21st and leave the funeral home at 1:45 p.m. in a funeral procession for the graveside service at Paint Rock Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Monday from 8:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m to 1:30 p.m.
