Law Godwin, who resided in Ava, Missouri, formerly of Ratcliff , passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born January 17, 1946 in Ratcliff to the late Iran Foster Godwin and Hazel Fabrus (Law) Godwin. He was 65 years old.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Roger Dale Godwin.

Law was a retired supervisor for Florida Power & Light Company in West Palm Beach, Florida and was a 1964 graduate of County Line High School.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17th at the Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Rev. Kenny Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Caulksville Cemetery in Caulksville, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Helen Godwin of the home; two sons, Christopher Godwin and wife Melinda of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Chad Godwin and wife Laura of Virginia; one sister, Vickie Wright of Fayetteville; two brothers, Foster Wayne Godwin of Fort Smith and James Godwin of Makon, Georgia; one granddaughter, Noel Godwin of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Michael Wright, Haskell Casalman, Mark Schmalz, Johhny Law, Harold Pike, Don Godwin, and J.W. Stafford.
