Larry Dennis Ziegler of Lavaca, Arkansas, died Monday, May 15, 2023, at Heart of Hospice in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on November 11, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Frank Ziegler and Mildred (Leiter) Ziegler. He was 73 years old.

Larry was an accomplished chef and was a retired Director of Operations for many restaurants, and he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

A memorial graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 19th at Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jane (Bentley) Ziegler; a sister, Marcia Hemann and husband Ray of Florissant, Missouri; a brother, Mike Ziegler and wife Kathy of Manchester, Missouri; his mother-in-law, Barbara Bentley of Van Buren; a brother-in-law, Jack Bentley and wife Kelley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and four nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked donations be made to Fianna Hills Nursing & Rehab Activity Fund, 8411 S. 28th St. Fort Smith, AR  72908 or to Heart of Hospice Foundation, 901 Hugh Wallis Rd. South Lafayette, LA  70508.
