James Larry Sory, who resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018, Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born August 27, 1949, in New Blaine, Arkansas, to the late Loyd Leroy Sory and Rosa Violet Elizabeth (Dixon) Sory. He was 68 years old. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lauren Sory.
Larry was a farmer, and he was a member of Full Gospel Mission Church in Paris.
Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris. Burial of cremains will be at Elizabeth Hall Cemetery in New Blaine, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Shelby (Pierson) Sory; two sons, Brandon Sory and wife Karen and Courtney and wife Wendi, all of Ozark; one step-son, Eric Street of Paris; two sisters, Oralee Rayburn of Paris and Jane Bethel of Van Buren; two brothers, Bobbie Gene Sory of Sumpter, South Carolina and Harold Dean Sory of New Blaine; four grandchildren, Glen Sory, Chris Hammonds, Tatum Street and Saylor Street.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Shaw, Preston Walker, Michael Tilden, Terry Fox, Kedric Paschal, Allen Looney and Coy Pruitt.
