Larry Truman Mainer of Paris, Arkansas, died Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Mercy Hospital In Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on September 3, 1945, at Bollinger Hospital in Charleston, Arkansas, to the late Lonnie Mainer and Clara (Pearce) Mainer. He was 80 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Clint Mainer; a brother, Robert Mainer; two sisters-in-law, Patricia (Holzman) Mainer and Peggy (Hammond) Mainer; a brother-in-law, Rev. Jim Brooks; and a nephew, Kyle Mainer.
Larry was a 1963 graduate of County Line High School. For many years, Larry was the service manager at Bob Rogers Chevrolet in Paris, and later in life, Larry worked in maintenance and school bus driver for the Paris School District. He loved watching the Razorbacks, fishing and camping with his brothers, and he especially loved watching his grandchildren participate in their events. He loved his family very much and will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 20th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Rev. Bill VanMeter officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery, located on Reveille Valley Road, south of Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Carlen (Walker) Mainer; a son, Casey Mainer and wife Trisha of Scranton; two sisters, Anna Brooks of Paris and Gaile Lovelace and husband Jerry of Caulksville; four brothers, Bill Mainer of the Coles Chapel Community, Jim Mainer and wife Tomye of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Rick Mainer and wife Carol of Fort Smith, and Mick Mainer and wife Diane of Caulksville; and four grandchildren, Faith Mainer, Matthew Mainer, DeLaney Mainer, and Brecken Mainer; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Billy Ray Mainer, Jimmy Brooks, Steve Lovelace, Greg Lovelace, Adam Walker, and Richard Zimmer.
The family will visit with friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral Home.
