Larry David Hughes, who resided in Scranton, Arkansas, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born March 29, 1950 in Paris to Alfred Lee Hughes and Regina Mae (Snow) Hughes. He was 62 years old.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Regina Mae Hughes and infant son, Timothy Hughes.
Larry was a 1968 graduate of Scranton High School. He worked in construction and for Tyson in Clarksville.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24th at Dublin Free Will Baptist Church with Jeff Henderson officiating. Burial will be at Ware's Chapel Cemetery in Dublin, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Judy Hughes of the home; two daughters, Julie Casalman and husband Ryan of Charleston and Rachel Whitman and husband Chad of Paris; one son, Jonathan Lee Hughes of the home; his father, Alfred Hughes of Dublin; one brother, Charles "Chuck" Hughes and wife Azana of Alma; four grandchildren, Madison, William, Trenton, and Nathan.
Pallbearers will be Rick Snow, Bobby Snow, Allen Hughes, Jimmy Allen Henderson, James Baskin, and Bill Sampley.
Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home.
