Obituary

Larry Don Floyd, who resided in Mountain View, Arkansas, died Wednesday, February 17, 2021, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born April 20, 1947, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, to the late Eldon Rudolph "John" Floyd and Velma Inez (Phelps) Floyd. He was 73 years, 9 months, and 28 days old. He was preceded in death by a brother, Randall Floyd.

Larry was a retired directional driller in the oilfields, and he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

A memorial graveside service, with military honors, will be held at a later date, at Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He is survived by his children, Amber Crawford and husband Greg of Fort Smith and Chad Floyd and wife Deborah of Fort Smith; a sister, Vickie Floyd Payne of Alabama; six grandchildren, Mark Pickel and wife Gillian, Morgan Pickel, C.J. Floyd, Georgia Crawford, and Samantha Crawford; one great-grandchild, Jude Crawford; and one special niece, Kyndal Beth "K.B." Payne.
