Larry Richard Cornette, who resided in Van Buren, Arkansas, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Baptist Health Hospital in Van Buren. He was born March 10, 1946, in Pleasant Hill, Tennessee, to the late William M. Cornett and Hattie M. (Milligan) Cornett. He was 74 years old. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ray Cornett; and two sisters, Betty Mitchell and Elizabeth Ann Smith.
Larry was a retired pipefitter, and member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 198. He worked several years for the Department of Energy in Colorado. He served in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and he was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 14th, 2021, at Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Paulette (Lee) Cornette; two sons, Richard Cornette and wife Kim of Gresham, Oregon and Anthony Cornette and wife Deana of Loveland, Colorado; two sisters, Barbara Marshall and Judith Tucker, both of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jakob Cornette, Tristan Cornette, Jairen Cornette, and Jaiden Cornette.
