Obituary

Kelly Gene Shotzman of Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, at his home. He was born on April 13, 1967, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Ernest Wesley Shotzman and Mary Ann (Misee) Shotzman. He was 58 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Shotzman; two brothers, Wesley Shotzman and Don Shotzman; and a sister, Debra Rhodes.

Kelly was a 1985 graduate of Charleston High School, and he served in the U.S. Air Force.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 12th at Fort Smith National Cemetery, with military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. Officiating the service will be Kelly's nephew, Bro. Steven Shotzman.

He is survived by two sons, Jesse Dean Shotzman of New Braunfels, Texas, and David Shotzman and wife Amanda of Okinawa, Japan; his mother, Mary Ann Shotzman of Charleston; two brothers, Steve Shotzman and wife Melissa of Greenwood and Kevin Shotzman and wife Holly of Charleston; a special nephew whom he loved spending time with, Jacob Shotzman of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
