Obituary

Kedric Ray Paschal, who resided near Ratcliff, Arkansas, died Monday, November 25, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Booneville, Arkansas. He was born on November 9, 1936, in Ratcliff, to the late Oliver Floyd Paschal and Lila Vesta (Core) Paschal. He was 88 years old.

Kedric was a 1954 graduate of County Line High School and attended Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, He dedicated 43 years of his life serving in the U.S. Army and Arkansas Army National Guard and served active duty in Operation Desert Storm/Iraqui Freedom. At the beginning of his career, Kedric was an engineer surveyor for the Arkansas State Highway Department. He was a member of the 142nd Field Artillery Brigade, Arkansas Valley Antique Tractor Club, served many years on the Caulksville Cemetery Board and Caulksville City Council, and was a faithful member of Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Kedric was a pillar of the Caulksville Community and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Bill VanMeter officiating. Burial will follow, with full military honors, at Caulksville Cemetery, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara (Hall) Paschal; two daughters, Janora Wade and husband Jim of Crystal River, Florida, and Marsha DuVall and husband Joe of Russellville; four grandchildren, Kelsea DuVall, Taylor Wade, Lauren Dove and husband Kyle, and McKenzie Meeks and husband David.

Pallbearers are Steve Young, Bill Garner, Haskell Casalman, Jim Peck, Ted Parker, and Chuck Parsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Schmaltz and members of Arkansas Valley Antique Tractor Club.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
