Kathiron Sue Varnell of Paris, Arkansas, died Friday, November 22, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on January 18, 1960, in San Joaquin Valley, California. She was 64 years old.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta Thompson; a son, Thomas Ray Jones; a sister, Carol Moore; and two brothers, Billy Don Reed and Gary Alan Reed.

Kathy was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Gary Varnell, Sr.; her daughters, Valerie Cunningham and husband John of Irving, Texas, Michelle Miller and husband Jessie of Etna, and Layla Varnell of Paris; a step-daughter, Amber Corley of Arkansas; two sons, Kevin Jones of Orville, California, and Cory Jones and wife Angel of Ozark; two step-sons, Gary Varnell, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Michael Varnell of Shawnee, Oklahoma; two sisters, Victoria Akin of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Tonya Moore and husband Steven of Porterville, California; (34) grandchildren; (1) great-grandchild, with one more on the way.

Kathy's burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 2nd at Hickory Grove Cemetery near Midway.
