Karen Sue Hewett, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at her son's home. She was born on November 19, 1955, in Charleston, Arkansas, to the late Claude Sherman Hewett and Mildred L. (Harred) Hewett. She was 70 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Pamela Jewell Wilhelm and Claudia Kay Hewett.

She was survived by her son, Richard W. Markham, II of Charleston; a brother, Stanley Hewett and wife Patricia of Charleston; a grandchild, Richard W. Markham, III and wife Elizabeth of Dover; and two great-grandchildren, Jaikob Markham and Lillian Markham.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
