Karen Patricia Adair, who resided in Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was born September 10, 1954 on Camp Chaffee in Sebastian County, Arkansas to the late W.D. King and Dorothy Mae (Nichols) King. She was 57 years old.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Max Darrell Adair, Sr.
Karen was Senior Purchasing and Expeditor for WorleyParsons Resources & Energy in Houston, Texas.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 23rd at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Rev. Wendell Crosswhite officiating. Burial will be at Oak Valley Cemetery, located south of Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
She is survived by two daughters, Tracey Schossow and husband John of Mansfield and Tallie Crosswhite and husband Mike of Charleston; two sisters, Sharon Doss of Central City and Barbara Meredith and husband Jerry of Central City; five grandchildren, Christian, Caleb and wife Tarah, Jesse, Dylan, and Aspen; one great-grandson, Adrian; one niece and three nephews.
Pallbearers will be Christian Poe, Caleb Schossow, Jesse Crosswhite, Dylan Crosswhite, and Seth McCann.
Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
Public viewing will begin Wednesday, August 22nd at the funeral home.
