Julia "Lori" House died at the age of 84. Cremation will be by Brotherton Brothers Cremation Services in Fort Smith, Arkansas. A memorial service will be held for both Lori and her late husband, Douglas Ray House, Sr., on Saturday, May 13th at First Baptist Church in Muldrow.
On January 31, 1960, Lori and Doug met at First Baptist Church in New Orleans and were married on February 26, 1960, by pastor, Dr. J.D. Grey. Doug died in December, 2018, two months before their 59th wedding anniversary. Lori relocated to Muldrow in December, 2019, to be near her son, Ray, and immediately became active in the Challengers Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church, and also in the Kozy Quilters and food pantry, both sponsored by the Trinity Methodist Church.
Lori and Doug are survived by their four children, Patricia Lorraine Bastion (Les), Douglas Ray House, Jr. (Jayna), Howard Roy House (Tina), and George Coleman House; thirteen grands; and eleven greats; Lori's sisters, Shirley Reece(Robbie) and Sharon Dendy (Woody); Lori's brothers, James Hosea (Frances) and Howard Hosea (Diane); and a number of nieces and nephews on both sides.
Lori and Doug was preceded in death by Doug's parents, Alex and Annie House; Lori's parents, Lonnie and Sadie Hosea; a granddaughter, Loryn Kay House; a great-granddaughter, Abby Brionna Hargett. Also preceded in death were Doug's five brothers and three sisters and Lori's four brothers.
Desired memorials may be made to the charity of choice or to the food pantry sponsored by Trinity Methodist, Muldrow, Oklahoma.
