Judy Rose Cornelius, who resided in Mena, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on January 10, 1949, in Dierks, Arkansas, to the late Webster Edison Thornton and Lela Ardith (Kesterson) Thornton, also known as Lela Ottis (Kesterson) Thornton. She was 76 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jason Wilkerson; three sisters; and four brothers.

Judy retired from Home Health as a personal care aide. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Joyce Wilkerson, Sarah Lynn Cornelius, and Rebekah Ann Cornelius; a son, Michael James Cornelius; three sisters, Vivian Tway, Ellen Leeper, and Letha Martin; a brother, Delland Thornton; a grandson, Jarrett Wilkerson; and two great-grandchildren.
