Obituary

Juanita Ann (Cormack) Power, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born September 3, 1953 in Spencer, Iowa to the late Harold Cormack and Lucille (Riseling) Cormack. She was 62 years old. She was also preceded in death by the father of her son, David Johnsey.

Juanita was a self-employed CPA. She retired from the IRS after working 35 years. She was a 1971 graduate of North Little Rock N.E. High School and graduated from college at UALR. Juanita was a big supporter of her community, Charleston Booster Club, and was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Charleston.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5th, at First United Methodist Church in Charleston, with the Rev. Chuck Coffelt and Rev. Andrew Kjorlaugh officiating. Burial will be at Singleton Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by her son, Eric Johnsey of Conway; two sisters, Mary Newhart of Charleston and Annette Cormack of Berryville; one brother, Ed Cormack of North Little Rock; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Greg Vernon, Mitchell Wells, J.O. Barton, Kim Loughridge, Mike Carmack, Frank Berry, Warren Turkal, and Kenneth Stegall.

Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday night in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church in Charleston.
