Juanita Lorene Powell, who resided in Ratcliff, Arkansas, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at her home. She was born May 4, 1934 in Logan County to the late George Allen Hill and Lena Leo (Corley) Hill. She was 78 years old.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Hill and Lindell Hill, and two sisters, Marie Combs and Lucille Layman.

Juanita was a retired waitress at Quincy's Restaurant, which is now Shane's Restaurant in Caulksville for many years and was a member of Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17th, at Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Bill Van Meter officiating. Burial will be at Caulksville Cemetery in Caulksville, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Powell of Ratcliff and Kimberly Vela of San Antonio, Texas; three sons, Kenny Pendleton of Fayetteville, Rick Pendleton of Ratcliff and Alan Powell of Ratcliff; one brother, Dwight Hill of Logansport, Louisiana; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Hill, Larry Hill, Shane Cantrell, Buddy Turk, Jimmy Stubblefield, Bryce Pendleton Cobb, Larry Bottoms, and Haskell Casalman.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home in Charleston.
