Obituary

Juanita Anita Edwards, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at her home. She was born November 27, 1927 in Spiro, Oklahoma to the late George Washington Baxter and Lucille P. (Cowan) Baxter. She was 86 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Toby Edwards.

Juanita was a retired sales clerk at Sears, Roebuck and Company in Fort Smith. She was a poultry farmer, a homemaker, and was a member of the Assembly of God.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 23rd, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Chaplain Todd Rowland officiating. Burial will be at 12:00 p.m. at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by her daughter, Laverne Gray of Springhill, Florida; three sons, Carl Toby Edwards, Jr. of San Bruno, California, Dan Edwards of Orangevale, California, and Stan Edwards of Ratcliff; one sister, Imogene Henry and husband Mac of Joplin, Missouri; one brother, George "Bo" Baxter and wife Odessa of Pocola, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; (16) great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

Family will visit with friends 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
