Obituary

Joshua James Linville of Charleston, Arkansas, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from an automobile accident near Barling, Arkansas. He was born on August 9, 1987, in Riverside, California, to Ricky Lynn Linville and Kimberly Elaine (Jones) Linville. He was 35 years old.

Josh was a superintendent for Beshears Construction Company in Fort Smith. He was a 2005 graduate of Charleston High School, was an avid Razorback fan, and he enjoyed going fishing. Josh loved his family very much and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Pastor Steve Adams and Pastor Terry Scott officiating. Cremation will follow after the services.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Shanda (Thomas) Linville; his children, Lakelyn, Jaxson and Clayton; his father and mother, Rick and Kim Linville of Charleston; two brothers, Ricky Linville and wife Rebekah of Charleston and Rick Brooks of Detroit, Michigan; two sisters, Jessica Elaine Bratcher and husband Justin of Tuttle, Oklahoma, and April Furrichia of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan; his grandmothers, Ava Jones of Charleston and Juanita Grubbs of Wayne, Michigan; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sheila and David Sparkman of Fort Smith; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers are Dillion Gilbert, Mark Swain, Archie Nelson, Mikey Franklin, Levi Oberlies, Tyler Middleton, Trent Yarberry, Curtis Hill, Ricky Linville, and Justin Bratcher.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
