Joseph Wesley Hipp, Jr., who resided in Fort Smith, Arkansas, died February 23, 2021, at his home. He was born December 26, 1948, in Merced, California, to the late Joseph Wesley Hipp, Sr. and Ivey Kay (Kilby) Hipp. He was 72 years old.

Joseph was a retired equipment operator for the City of Fort Smith and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Wesley Hipp, III of Crestline, California; a daughter, Athena Marie Smith and husband Danny of Atascadero, California; a sister, Katherine Morris of Merced, California; two grandchildren, Brandon W. Hipp and Nikolas S. Hipp; and one great-grandchild, Lilah Leslie Hipp.
