Joseph Edward Ray Ragan, better known as Jose, resided in Barling, Arkansas, died Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 29, 1993, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Charles Edward Ragan and Lila Maureen Bullington. He was almost 31 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Ragan.

Jose worked for Terry & Terry Construction Company in Charleston, an for a short time, Jose worked in the oilfields in North Dakota. He was a member of the Jeep Gang, enjoyed trail riding, and loved being with his family and friends. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21st at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Cremation and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his daughter, Cora Jane Ragan; the mother of his daughter, Caleigh Fletcher of Paris; his mother, Lila Phillips of North Dakota; his brothers, DeRek Ragan and wife Jessica of Charleston, William Ragan and wife Codi of Fort Smith, and Steven Phillips of North Dakota; his uncle, Keith Ragan and wife Misty of Huntington; and two best friends he considered his brothers, Zach King and wife Moriah of Charleston and Josh Corte of Branch.

Honorary pallbearers are Baislee Ragan, Calvin Ragan, Brantlee Ragan, and Grayson King.
