Obituary

Jolene Joy DuVall, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016, in Fort Smith. She was born February 3, 1926, in Waldron, Arkansas to the late William Taff and Gertrude (Ashford) Taff. She was 90 years old.

She grew up in Central City, Arkansas and worked as a "Rosie the Rivereter" in Oklahoma City during WWII. She married William Franklin DuVall, December 22, 1946, in Barling, Arkansas. They were married until his death January 3, 2007.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. DuVall; her son, Dave DuVall; six brothers, J. C. Taff, Verlon Taff, Scott Taff, Mack Taff, Warren Taff and Waylon Taff and two sisters, Joyce Moore and Erdean Kirby.

Jolene was a bookkeeper for the family body shop and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Fort Smith.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 25th at Parks Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Charleston.

She is survived by two sons, William DuVall and wife Linda of Pueblo, Colorado and Warren DuVall of Booneville, Arkansas; one sister, Wanda Taff Graham of Lavaca; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
