Johnny Walter Biggs, affectionately known as Johnny Pie, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at his home. He was born on January 17, 1952, in Paris, Arkansas, to the late Fay W. Biggs and Leta (Ray) Biggs. He was 72 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, James W. Harris.
Johnny spent his life dedicated to his passions and his family. He recently resided in Central City, Arkansas, where he enjoyed working in his shop, tinkering on vehicles and various projects. A culinary enthusiast, he found joy in creating new dishes in the kitchen. His love for the outdoors was evident in his frequent hunting trips on Magazine Mountain and fishing excursions around Fort Chaffee, a place her cherished deeply for its natural beauty and tranquility. Johnny's legacy lives on through the cherished memories he created with his family, especially the time he spent teaching his grandchildren about working with vehicles and machinery. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, generous heart, and the joy he brought to those around him.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 27th at Biggs Family Cemetery, located in Central City, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. Officiating the service will be Bro. Rusty Jones.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Carlene (Smothers) Biggs; a daughter, Tiffany Smothers Biggs and son-in-law, Lance Davis; his beloved grandchildren, Aiden Smothers, Karleigh Smothers and Caleb Moses; a brother, Eddie Joe Kopec; and a sister, Melissa Gregory and husband Doug.
Pallbearers will be Carlene Smothers Biggs, Eddie Joe Kopec, Aiden Smothers, Joe Smothers, Dan Dan McDonald, Terry Wallace, and Tommy Sharp.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tiffany Smothers Biggs, Lance Davis and Karleigh Smothers.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston.
