Obituary

John Wayne Sims, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at his home. He was born January 13, 1955 in Branch, Arkansas to the late James Sims and Anna Lee (Lovelace) Sims. He was 58 years old. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Cameron Jr.; two nieces, Sherry Raggio and Kristie Cameron.

John worked at Correll, Inc. in Charleston and Atwoods in Fort Smith. He was a 1973 graduate of Charleston High School and he loved hunting and fishing.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Wayne Thacker and Mr. James Spicer officiating. The body will be cremated following the service and burial of cremains will be at McVay Cemetery in Carbon City, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

He is survived by two sisters, Shirley Duvall and husband Norman of Charleston and Katy Kenison and husband David of Paris; one sister-in-law, Tonya Cameron; five nieces, Norma Spicer, Sheila Krallman, Tonya Chance, Van Shotwell, and Allison Rizzo; two nephews, Scot Kenison and Mike Kenison.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.
