Obituary

John David (J.D.) Ruloph, Jr., who resided in Paris, Arkansas, was a good and faithful servant of the Lord,  passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born February 6, 1940, in Charleston, Arkansas, to the late John David Ruloph, Sr. and Pauline (Greb) Ruloph. He was 78 years old. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Ruloph; a grandson, Patrick McComb and a great-grandson, Andrew Hamilton.

J.D. was a retired farmer and school bus driver for County Line School District. He was a 1959 graduate of County Line High School and he was a deacon of Paris Christian Center in Paris. This gentle servant loved God, his wife Nina and his family. He loved to go fishing for catfish and loved hamburgers. In his younger days, he enjoyed deer hunting, bowling, playing his guitar and horses. He was never without a smile on his face. He was the second oldest of seven children. J.D. and his older brother Joe were best friends til the end.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13th, at Paris Christian Center in Paris, with Pastor Angelo Florenciano officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Nina (Whorton) Ruloph; three daughters, Teresa Ruloph, Angela McComb and Elizabeth Bearden; one son, Charles Ruloph; two step-daughters, Carmella Mashburn of Flower Mound, Texas and Teresa Kass and husband Keith of Kansas City, Kansas; one step-son, Timothy Black and wife Judy of Kansas City, Kansas; five sisters, Barbara Schluterman, Mary Friemel, Roberta Ruloph, Delores Pickle and husband Ted, and Cecilia Savage and husband Richard; a brother, Joe Ruloph and wife Rosemary; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Sam McElhaney, Ernie McFarland, Jeremy Kitson, Michael Patterson, Alvie Beck, Larry Baker, Brian Hice and Charles Jackson.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 12th, at the funeral home in Paris.
