John Arthur Rieder of Hackett, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, at his home. He was born on August 14, 1939, in Warren Pennsylvania, to the late Fritz Rieder and Bernice (Prince) Rieder. He was 86 years old.

John was a retired printer for a newspaper company in Tulare, California, and was an U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Whittenburg and husband Johnny of Hackett, Cynthia Gomez and Kathleen Massey, both of Tulare, California; his sons, Donald Thompson and wife Suzanne of State College, Pennsylvania, and John Thompson of Hackett; (14) grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
